Well. Here I am in another week. Still jobless, but I have another interview in a couple of hours. A very weird thing though – look at the pic on this post (loving Google Street View). The building on the left (the blue-grey one) is where I have the interview. The building on the right (the beige one) is where I worked previous to my current job. That company has since moved, but I still find it very odd! Hey, at least I won’t get lost on my way there today.
Other than that, some books arrived today from Amazon! Unchristian, which I’ve been wanting to read for a while, and Oh Shit! It’s Jesus which I decided to buy after reading Makeesha’s review on it. I had to order them from Amazon because I couldn’t find copies in local Christian bookstores. Not surprising, really. I’ll review them when I’m done reading – can’t wait to get into them.
Anyway, I must go because I have to get all gussied up for my interview, stockings, heels and all. *sigh* If only you could convince them you’re the one for the job without doing the big self-selling thing. I absolutely hate that.

I just got done reading Unchristian and it was very eye opening. A great read, you’ll enjoy it.
Good luck on your interview.
I hate the self selling thing too….I wish you the best of luck with the interview!
Heather,
Best wishes on the interview! Ha! That IS quite a coincidence that the building is right next to your former employer’s former building!
Keep us posted on both your job situation, and the books you have received.
(By the way, I’m SURE you already knew this…but I thought I’d still mention it. Did you know that you can buy “used” books on Amazon.com that are MUCH cheaper than those sold by Amazon themselves? I actually only buy “used” books this way. As well, even though they are “used” many that I’ve received are literally in brand new condition.) My budget is really tight so I’ve saved money doing this.
Blessings,
~Amy
Usher: You go girl!
Deacon: Godspeed!
Well, I got that job. Then I got another job that afternoon
So I had to pick. I didn’t take the one mentioned above, I am now the Personal Assistant to the Director of an aged care facility. Yay for me!
It’s school hours four days per week, which is exactly what I wanted. No more before and after school care for the girls, and I still have one day while they’re at school so I can continue the volunteer work I do.
*happy sigh*
Yay!
Thank you all so much for your kind wishes. I’m so relieved it’s all over!
Thanks for the tip, Amy. I figure it costs me so much in postage to get the books over here they might as well be new.
Mike, thanks for the recommendation – I am looking forward to reading it!
That’s great news. I was hoping I’d see a positive report when I checked back today. So very happy for you!
Michelle
Thanks Michelle
YAY!!! Congrats on the job – that *is* a perfect set up
